iPad versus replacing a laptop you already own
An iPad is not a cheaper laptop unless the work you do actually fits. The catalogue lets you look at both; it will not pretend they are the same device.

iPad Air 11-inch (M2) and MacBook Air 13-inch (M3, 2024) sit in different categories on purpose. Compare pages are only generated inside one manufacturer and category, so this site will not invent an iPad-versus-MacBook URL.
What you can do is read both product pages, then run the tablet or laptop questionnaire. If the laptop you own still has support and a working keyboard, "keep it" is an ordinary answer. If the iPad is a second device, that is a purchase, not a replacement, and the engine treats it as one.
Guides are not listicles. There is no ranking of "best tablets" here — only sourced devices and a decision.
